When did it suddenly become cool to hate everything? It's a growing problem, especially in the entertainment world, and no one benefits from an increasingly hard to please, pessimistic audience.

Here's a piece of art I finally decided to display. I did it a couple months ago as a background to a comic page for Empty Room Studios. Kind of coupled with this: [link] - Top right panel.
This piece was from the lower right large panel. I enjoyed doing this piece and was actually going for a job with the studio at the time, but I didn't get the contest submissions in by the deadline so I only posted the snippit, not this scenery picture. I just didn't see the point. My grandmother had died and a lot of things during the month we had to do everything so I hardly was home to work. Even so, I ended up landing another studio job and now am in the professional field. Rick H. (owner of ERS) told me to get some more things together in my portfolio for a possible future position. This was before I got the position at FX. But who knows, if I can snag good pay at ERS and Rick is still interested, I might end up there. Coloring (c) Stephanie Payne Linework (c) Jeremy Mohler of Empty Room Studios Larger, crisper print availible. Note me for details. |
